It is a fact that people take pictures of their food. The intricate beauty of a thing that's primary goal is nourishment but also importantly taste, neither of which can be transcribed through a photo.
Then compared that with how people take pictures of classic architecture repeating the same photos day in and day out of the Flatiron building and the Golden Gate bridge, which never seem to get old. Getting dozens of likes on Instagram, like a compulsory event - Like.
Is it to share? Is it to brag? Is it to say, "Hey, I'm doing all right"?
