Coffee Table 1st Assembly

So I finally got the holes drilled, got some great looking socket head cap screws and put my coffee table together for the first time.

I’m feeling…accomplished.

I also ordered my glass and did some practicing in the wood shop for the corner supports for the glass.

I’m really going to wish that I had my ottoman when this is done.

Epic Weekend

I had a great weekend this past weekend. I managed to actually do somethings OTHER than just work.

1) I made polenta and chicken for the first time without my mother. It didn’t quite taste like hers but if I may say so, it was pretty darn good.

2) I went out in the city! The JPD crew met up at Brian’s house on Potrero Hill and then went out in the Mission bar hopping. I’ve been here for a while and it was awesome to just go out and have some fun and check out a city that I am dying to spend more time in.

3) Its the 3rd week of November and I spend Sunday at the Beach. Yes, the beach. It was 80, sunny and a perfect 10 for going to Half Moon Bay. For anyone who knows me even a little well you know that the beach is my sanctuary. Sunbathed….and next week I’ll be skiing in Utah with the family.

Still Welding

My welding is coming along awesome. Not perfect…but I am getting so much better. I made the inset for my coffee table. It looks pretty awesome. I’m happy. 56 inches of welding and I only burnt a hole through once.

Yay Building Stuff!
